I consider myself fortunate to live in beautiful Southern California, but occasionally fail to appreciate what's right outside my door. Last week, however, I had a reality check when the look on my six-year old daughter's smiling face suddenly reminded me of my many blessings.
When she made a last minute request to visit LEGOLAND in Carlsbad, I took her up on the offer. After all, we didn't have anything planned for the day. Needless to say, we had a wonderful, memorable day together.
The Dragon Roller Coaster, Aqua Zone Wave Racers and Pirates Cove were just some of the attractions my daughter loved. We also spent a lot of time in Miniland US and enjoyed seeing the Golden Gate Bridge, Washington Monument and New York City skyline.
As we left the park, my daughter skipped along to the car and I couldn't help but reflect on the special moments we shared. We connected on a special level and that one day together was like a mini-vacation. Hopefully, she will remember days like these for years to come.
I was reminded that Southern California has so much to offer and that MarBrisa Resort is right in the middle of it all. LEGOLAND is a short walk from your villa. It's an easy drive to SeaWorld, the world famous San Diego Zoo and the San Diego Zoo's Wild Animal Park. Disneyland is just to the north. World-class beaches, the famous Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch and outlet shopping opportunities are just around the corner.
